Notion to Anki — free, no add-on required

Connect Notion once, paste any page link, get a .apkg deck. No software to install.

How it works

1. Drop your file

Notion export, PDF, Word, Markdown, or a Quizlet export.

2. 2anki builds your deck

Usually a few seconds. Bigger files take a minute.

3. Open it in Anki

Double-click the .apkg file. Your cards are ready to study.

Supported formats

What you actually get in Anki

Cloze deletions stay clickable

{{c1::...}} becomes a real Anki cloze card, not plain text.

Images render in the card

Embedded images come across and display on the front or back.

Tags carry over

Strikethrough in Notion or a tag column in CSV attaches to every card in the deck.

Correct note types

Basic, Cloze, and front/back map to the right Anki note type so import is clean.

No junk in your cards

No empty backs, no stray #, *, or $ characters left over from your notes.

Common questions

Does this work with toggles and callouts?

Yes. Toggles become front/back cards. Strikethrough text in the page body becomes a tag on every card in that deck. If a block type isn't handled the way you'd like, send the page to support@2anki.net and we'll take a look.

Do I need a Notion integration token?

Yes — connect Notion once on the upload page. We use the token only to read the pages you pick, and you can revoke it from your Notion settings any time.

What happens to images and code blocks?

Both come across. Images embed in the card, code blocks keep their formatting. Anything we can't fetch is replaced with a short note so the card still works.

Will it sync when I edit the Notion page later?

A one-time conversion is a snapshot. Re-paste the link to make a fresh deck. If you want changes to flow automatically, see Auto Sync on the pricing page — it polls Notion every few minutes.
