Move your StudyStack flashcards to Anki

Export your StudyStack as a CSV, drop it here, and get a .apkg deck. Terms and definitions become basic cards ready to review in Anki.

How it works

1. Drop your file

Notion export, PDF, Word, Markdown, or a Quizlet export.

2. 2anki builds your deck

Usually a few seconds. Bigger files take a minute.

3. Open it in Anki

Double-click the .apkg file. Your cards are ready to study.

Supported formats

What you actually get in Anki

Cloze deletions stay clickable

{{c1::...}} becomes a real Anki cloze card, not plain text.

Images render in the card

Embedded images come across and display on the front or back.

Tags carry over

Strikethrough in Notion or a tag column in CSV attaches to every card in the deck.

Correct note types

Basic, Cloze, and front/back map to the right Anki note type so import is clean.

No junk in your cards

No empty backs, no stray #, *, or $ characters left over from your notes.

Common questions

How do I export from StudyStack?

Open your stack on studystack.com and look for the export or download option in the stack's menu. The exported file should contain your terms and definitions, ready to upload here.

What format does the exported file use?

StudyStack exports a two-column file — term in the first column, definition in the second. That maps directly to card front and back.

Do images and audio come across?

Plain text and simple HTML in your cards transfers. Images attached inside StudyStack cards are not included in the CSV export.

How many cards can I import?

Free 2anki accounts convert up to 100 cards per month — this is the 2anki limit, not a StudyStack restriction. Unlimited and Auto Sync plans remove the cap — see the pricing page.
