Write your notes as toggles in Notion. The heading becomes the front, the hidden content becomes the back. Connect, paste a link, get a .apkg.
1. Write toggles in Notion
Each toggle is a card: the heading is the question, the content inside is the answer. Group toggles under subpages to split them into subdecks.
2. Connect and paste the link
Connect Notion once on the upload page, paste the page URL, and convert.
3. Open it in Anki
Double-click the .apkg. Front and back cards, ready to review.
Cloze deletions stay clickable
{{c1::...}} becomes a real Anki cloze card, not plain text.
Images render in the card
Embedded images come across and display on the front or back.
Tags carry over
Strikethrough in Notion or a tag column in CSV attaches to every card in the deck.
Correct note types
Basic, Cloze, and front/back map to the right Anki note type so import is clean.
No junk in your cards
No empty backs, no stray #, *, or $ characters left over from your notes.
The toggle heading is the front of the card and everything inside the toggle is the back. One toggle makes one card.
No. A toggle nested inside another folds into the parent card answer. To split cards into subdecks, put them on separate subpages, which do become subdecks.
A toggle heading with its own content makes one card, heading on the front. A toggle heading that holds other toggles instead makes one card per inner toggle instead of one large card.
Wrap the answer in inline code in the toggle heading, or write {{c1::...}} there, and you get a real Anki cloze card. Reading a cloze from the toggle content is a separate option that is off by default.
No. Tables and headings can also source cards from the same page. Turn each one on or off from the Rules page.
